Frequently Asked Questions


Q: Where can I see the league standings?
A: League standings are maintained on the 680 Diablo League website which is accessible from the Links menu.
 
Q: When are tryouts?
A: Tryouts are normally scheduled in late October, rain or shine. Details will be posted on the Home page, Upcoming Events. and Events Schedule pages in advance of the next tryout sessions.   See the Tryouts page under the About Us menu option for an overview.

Q: What are the age cutoffs?
A: Per Pony rules, the player's age is determined as of April 30th. For more information, see the Tryouts page under the About Us menu option.

Q: When does the season start and end?
A: Practice schedules are determined by each team but generally start in December/January.  The 680 Diablo League season runs from late February to early June.  Teams may participate in tournaments at the discretion of each team manager which may extend through the end of June.
 
Q: How much does it cost?
A: Fees are determined by PHBA (our parent league) and the Hawks program.  For more information, see the Fees page under the About Us menu option.
 
Q: What are my responsibilities as a parent?
A: PHBA and the Hawks program are all-volunteer efforts.  Parents are expected to contribute hours for each participant in the program.  For more information, see the Parent Participation page under the About Us menu option.
 
 
Q:
What does it mean when the Field Status is Check/TBD?
A: Check/TBD means that the weather conditions are uncertain and/or that practice may be held on the blacktop.  You should look for an update from your team's manager or coordinator.
